Our Story

The Perfect 10 Sex & Recovery LLC , formerly known as “Project Open Box” was founded by Teneia Washington in 2015. We are a company that is devoted to helping individuals heal, rooted in the belief that sexual trauma happens but it doesn’t have to be a life sentence. This company was created to the void between personal recovery and the life that occurs after you have “recovered”. We are here to support the you that remains. Life after assault is a journey that is never a linear experience. It is full of summits and valleys. The climb is not one you should have to do alone. We are here to add support you through the valleys and to celebrate your summits with you. We are here to help you get back to you, to help you navigate ways to share yourself with your partner, to share yourself with those you care for and to bridge the uncomfortable divide between secrecy or shame and having the support that you need.

We were founded by a survivor who understands what it takes to actually recover from sexual assault and domestic abuse. A woman who has experienced first hand the devastation of assault, the pit of distrust, despair and sheer terror that that experience has the propensity to create. This company was founded in order to create space for survivors, those that love them and their allies. It is our goal to alter the trajectory and the depth of the loss that assault injects into the lives of the individuals that experience its holds. Our workshops and programs that help people get in touch with their pain, recover, and own their sexual power. We may not be able to turn back the hands of time but we believe that with the proper support you can actually recover and leave the devastation in the rearview.
